Social Impact Program by AXIS Bank

The AXIS Bank Leadership Development Team partners with 17000 ft Foundation to impact the lives of children living in its' remotest corners and creates a Social Impact Program that takes its Vice Presidents into these isolated regions to improve schools infrastructure and create learning programs for its children.

16 Vice Presidents arrive in Ladakh for an exhaustive 10 day visit and travel to four remote villages where they stay in simple homestays, interact with the villagers and spend their days working at the school. They work with the 17000 ft team to install the playgrounds that they fundraised for, and conduct various teaching sessions with the children on reading and the basics of banking and saving. The team interact with the local dignitaries and conduct exhaustive surveys in their villages to understand and document banking and financial practices adopted by the people of remote Ladakh.

Four schools, High School Wanla, Middle School Chulungkha, Middle School Diskit Girls and Centralized Residential School Tharuk each get a playground and a chance to interact and learn from senior bankers who came from various parts of the country to be a part of this project.
