Pratham Education Foundation donates books for our libraries in Ladakh

In 2012, Pratham Education Foundation donates its first set of 20,000 books from the much loved Pratham Books in English and Hindi. These books were to go to 17000 ft's 100 libraries in Leh District. These books in English, Hindi and Urdu, were sourced from their Delhi office and shipped to Leh either by road or air to the 17000 ft Leh office where they were sorted, labelled, colour coded and catalogued before being sent off to 100 different, very remote schools of Leh District. 17000 ft follows a closely monitored Library Management System which allows us to monitor and assess performance of libraries across all our 100 schools.
Pratham Education Foundation is generous to donate yet another 20,000 books for a 100 libraries for Kargil District in 2015. These books will be shipped to Kargil from where the 100 libraries for Kargil Project commence, expected to be completed by Sep 2016.
PEF also supports 17000 ft Foundation's Bhoti@17000ft initiative to translate titles from Pratham Books into the local language Bhoti for distribution into 300 schools of Leh District by Nov 2015
