Seasoned Trekkers turn volunteers for the Foundation

A family of 3, Kedar, Mohit & Premila become voluntourists with 17000 ft. All seasoned trekkers, they decide to extend their trekking holiday in Ladakh and also volunteer with the Foundation.

The Foundation assigns them 2 schools in the Nubra Valley where they are to setup libraries and also conduct Science Workshops. Both the schools, situated at an altitude of approximately 9000 ft in the beautiful green Turtuk region are fairly isolated. Middle School Chulungkha, in particular, is located off the main road and requires a short drive up on a rough path to reach.

They spend 2 to 3 days at each school setting up libraries, training the teachers on our Library Management System and more importantly also conducting the 17000ft Science Workshop module with the students. The Science workshop in particular is so extremely well received, both, by the teachers as well as the students, that even children from the neighbouring schools drop in to be a part of it!

Kedar, the high schooler comes back, and is inspired enough to campaign the cause within his school.

Thank you, all, for your time, dedication and effort, and for being such fantastic brand ambassadors of our work!
