High Altitude Football and more!

A group of High School Students of The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon decide to spend their vacation voluntouring with 17000 ft Foundation. Prior to their trip, the group worked with a professional football association and the Foundation to create a football module for the school.

The school assigned to them was M/S Fotoksar, in a very remote, untouched village situated at 14000 ft, many hours away from Leh. The school has 46 children from Nursery to Grade 8.

The group was divided into teams and made to work on different projects. Their task was to setup a library, conduct a reading program, setup a playground, conduct the football module and also conduct a village survey for the Foundation.  Physical labour at those altitudes was not easy, and neither was trekking across the vast village into each and every home to conduct surveys. Football at high altitudes was not as easy as they imagined, and neither was the energy of the students, but the group pulled off a fantastic effort, even bringing and awarding prizes for the final intra school football match.

Thank you, team for your help, time and incredible energy at the school!
